Yesterday we had as a plan, my son and I, to go to the Legoland that is in Postdamerplatz.
When we got to the place the queue there was incredibly long. We did not calculate that we are on vacation time for children and that many children want to go to Legoland too ;)
Imagine my son's face when he realized that it would be impossible to enter.
At that time it was my turn to step into the role of "superhero" and try to save the day.
Walking back to the metro station, passing by the side of the brick building I remembered that on the top floor there was a panoramic viewpoint. I asked my son if he wanted to see Berlin from above and as soon as I saw his eyes shining I knew that the day was saved.
We went up in the elevator that by the way was super fast, 8 meters per second was the speed of climb as said the elevator operator. When we left the elevator the view left us completely mute ... well, I think you better watch it for yourselves.
Part of the Tiergarten park and the dome of the Sony Center.
We met a bear up there!
My son tried to do a visual experiment with me and the Deutsche Bahn logo.
The Alexanderplatz!
The balloon-viewpoint was also in the air.
The tip of the building!
Feeling Berlin at his feet.
The truth is that we had a great time.
And this was not the only thing we did that day finally but that is the subject for another post. Best of all, the day was saved even though we could not get into Legoland. As I say, if life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
