The Marina Bay Sands is really a special piece of architectural wonder. It is constructed in such a unique way that it looks like a ship perched atop three high-rise buildings, and is definitely one of the must see attractions in Singapore. We were really looking forward to see the interesting and exquisite structure, and this building was one of the first tourist attractions we visited upon landing in Singapore.
Unfortunately, when we arrived to visit the place it was raining heavily, and we were not sure if we would be allowed into the Sky park - the observation part of the building.
We waited for almost an hour hoping the rains would stop, and luckily they did. The scenic views from atop were spectacular, and not only could we see the city skyline, we got to see many other attractions from up above, which we had planned to cover in the coming days, like the Gardens by the bay and the Singapore flyer.
We spent quite some time roaming around the deck, and one of the best moments was when we got to witness a truly beautiful sunset, wherein the sky changed into various shades before finally turning dark. It was definitely one of the prettiest sunsets I've ever encountered.
The view of the towers at night was also quite spectacular, once the lights were turned on.
It was a great visit and it was nice to witness the architectural marvel in person.
Having been opened only in 2010, the hotel has quickly and deservedly become one of the famous landmarks across the world, housing most notably the casino and the infinity pool!
