Who from us though time in life watching a solar or lunar Eclipse, or didn't make a wish on the shooting stars? It turns out that nature has in stock and other amazing phenomena.
Double rainbow
"Secondary rainbow is caused by double reflection of sunlight in drops of rain," mutters a boring encyclopedia. But we know that double rainbow is just beautiful in the square. Interestingly, in the second, less bright rainbow colors are in reverse order, from the pheasant to the hunter.
Lunar rainbow
When the moon is low and close to the full moon, on the contrary it is raining and the sky is dark and cloudless, you may experience a lunar rainbow. The combination of conditions is difficult, therefore, in contrast to the shiny rainbow moon is uncommon. Usually, in rainy areas or next to giant waterfalls
The light (or sun) pillars
The frosty winter air is composed of millions of ice crystals or tiny plates. Occasionally they are arranged in a particular order and at sunset or sunrise reflecting sunlight. As a result, vertical pillars of light, like a powerful spotlight shining up to the sky (or from heaven, according to the fans of UFO). On the same principle light poles may occur at night due to the reflection of the light of the moon, street lamps and car headlights.
Polar lights
Polar lights — undoubtedly the most magnificent spectacle which can be seen from the surface of the Earth. It can be observed at latitudes of about 67 to 70°, and sometimes closer to the equator. The chances of seeing the Northern lights above all clear frosty night from September to March. And you do not even need a passport — in Russia, lots of places where there are lights and where quickly and cheaply to get.
The Parghelia (about the sun, three suns)
The Parghelia — a very rare phenomenon and only happens in the winter in clear weather, when the sun hangs low on the horizon. It occurs because of floating in the air ice crystals, which like millions of tiny prisms that refract the sun's rays. The result is visible in the sky from the three suns: present and double left and right.
If the solar happens rarely Parghelia, Parghelia lunar phenomenon is simply unique. Here is one of the world's few photos of this optical miracle, and even anti-aircraft arc (upside down rainbow) in the bargain:
Lenticular or lens-shaped clouds
At high humidity between the two powerful air streams can occur lenticular clouds. They are notable not only lenticular shape, but also the ability to hover in place, despite the wind. Due to the shape and stillness, before they are often mistaken for UFOs. To see lenticular clouds in the mountains, even low. In Kamchatka, for example, hill often try such cloud crown.
Wavy-lumpy (the devil) cloud
The rare and little-studied type of clouds is kind of awesome, though, and deceptive. The devil's clouds do look ominous, it's like heaven here to tear to shreds, and the top will pour fire and brimstone. But really of them are not even banal pouring rain.
Gloria
Gloria — rainbow aura around your body — occurs when you are between the cloud and the sun. On the surface it is hardly possible, but in the mountains easily.
