The View at the Campground is Beautiful.
The lodge that they stayed in the first night.
My oldest son Seth has been heavily involved in Boy Scouts for the last 2 years. This weekend he decided to participate in the Polar Bear Camp Out for the second time. He already earned the badge for this last year, but he really enjoys the high adventure camping opportunities, so he went for it again. The challenge requires the boys to make shelters and stay outside for a total of 16 hours to earn the badge. The boys practice skills such as fire starting, shelter building, cooking and survival skills for this badge. They all had a great time, but Seth was absolutely ready for a hot shower and a lazy day when I picked him up. Luckily he humored me while I took some pictures.
This open field made for a nice shot
I have not climbed a tree in years, but I wanted to be up in this one. What a beautiful tree!
Lastly, this gorgeous pine.
All of this snow fell overnight. The snow is quite beautiful, but you won't see me playing in it, and you certainly will not catch me camping outdoors in it. Proud of all the boys, most of whom now have successfully earned this badge twice. I am still ready for spring.
