The fall colors this year have been spotty, to put it rather mildly. But I figured I would at least try my darnedest to get some of the local Latter-day Saint temples showing off some of their autumn-y best.
So I went out one morning and visited three temples. The Provo Temple still has roses lining the paths, but the extended grounds also have some yellows, oranges, and even touches of red. This particular temple will soon be closed for reconstruction, so this may end up being one of my "before" photos while we await the "after."
The Mt. Timpanogos Temple in American Fork was showing off a few colors still, though most of that was from the trees lining the parking lot area, rather than on the grounds specifically. Still, the autumn light was pretty as well.
And finally, the Draper Temple, which is closer to Salt Lake, had very few autumn colors remaining. There were some yellows, but most of the leaves are currently shriveling up without a great deal of change.
Interestingly, though, I did find some brighter color at the chapel next door to the temple.
So, that seems to be the best of autumn this year, now we wait for the winter snows.
