I have been on Steemit for almost a year now creating videos, tutorials and displaying photography art. I am selling some equipment on Ebay so I can buy a new Canon 5DSR. The last time I purchased a camera was several years ago and my Canon 5D Mark ii is out dated.
I am mainly a portrait photographer for print and set photography. I also create content for Steemit which is a fantastic outlet for me because I don't have a client telling me what to do. It's truly artistic freedom and I appreciate the love I get from this community, better than Facebook. HAHHAHAA
The Canon 5DSR will really raise the bar in terms of quality; I think it's as close to medium format you going to get without paying the price tag of medium format. But at $3,500 and street price of about $2,300 it's not that bad considering the price. The downside to the 5DSR is the video sucks. I do shoot a lot of video but I'm more concerned with the quality of the still.

Above is my main squeeze, the Canon 5D Mark ii. It was a great camera at the time it was released about 10 years ago. It changed the movie industry as well, giving film makers a small portable DSLR that shoots damn good video. But it's sort of obsolete in 2018.
Simple design and takes great shots. I can't believe I'm only going to get about $500 for this camera.
Going back a few more years, this was my work horse from 2009-2011. It's a Nikon D700 that doesn't shoot video. 12 megapixels and I did a lot of shoots with her. Fantastic camera. I'll be lucky to get $300.
I strapped a 50mm 1.4 lens in hopes it will attract a buyer. Hahaha..

This was the Canon 5D. There's a certain look to the 5DSR which will make me really shine. I can't wait to dump this gear.
The dynamic range just isn't there with the older 5D. Not bad but crappy to today's newer cameras.
