Whatever you learn must have typical terms. Starting from Mathematics, Indonesian to Photography. Well, if in photography app ya basic terms? Learn with yuk,
These are the terms of photography.
A
AF: Auto focus
AutoFocus: Auto focus; A state where the lens focus works automatically in a relatively fast time.
AFD: Auto Focus Distance Information
AFS: Auto focus Silent Wave Motor
Angle of View: Viewpoint in the photo object retrieval
Aperture: Diaphragm in camera
Aperature Priority: Priority setting on the diaphragm; Automatic shutter speed
AR Range: The light level of light in which the autofocus system can still work, in EV units
APS: Advance Photo System
B
Back: The back side of the camera; Function also as cover film
Back Focus: The focal point behind the object
Back light: Lighting coming from behind the photo object
Battery Grip: Additional accessories installed in the base of the camera contain batteries. Can be a built-in camera battery or AA battery (additional).
Blitz / speedlight / flash: A tool in shooting that emits light quickly to provide illumination to the object
Blouwer: A fan-shaped tool used in model shooting to produce wind effects.
BOKEH: Field blur / out of focus; Result of depth of field.
Bounce: Flash light is reflected to the ceiling or other fields so that the light obtained uniformly illuminates the object.
Bracketing: Increase or decrease the size of the lighting at the shoot to get the right lighting.
Built in Dioptri: regulator dioptri; Lens + or for those who wear glasses.
Bulk Film: Film capacity of 250 exposures
Bulp: Means on self-adjustable shutter speed measurement in accordance with the desire to take pictures (usually after more than 30 seconds).
Burn and Dodge: Burn is a term to darken the inside of a photo. Dodge the reverse, explaining the inside of the photo. This technique is done to give dimensions and dark-light balance in the photo. It used to be done in dark rooms.
C
CCD: Charge Couple Device (usually present in digital camera)
Center Weighted Metering: Measurement of illumination at 60% of the middle area of the image
Croping: Cuts a particular part or side of the photo area
Cross Process: Cross process. Usually performed on a positive film (E6) to a negative film (C 41), giving rise to new colors in the photo.
CPL: Circular Polaraizing.
D
Imprint Data: Date data printing facility on movie.
Dead Center: When POI (object to be highlighted) is right in the middle of the image area.
Depth of Field (DOF): Focal plane width; Sharp space; A space in front of the camera where the object is inside it has a certain sharpness.
DIL: Drop in Loading.
DIR: Development Inhibitor Releaser
DRAM: Data Random Access Memory
E
Esay photos: Convert photos into themed stories
ESP: Electro Selective Pattern; Automatic light measurement system when the brightness gap condition is very large.
EV: Exposure Value; The power of light. For example, EV = 0 power on a diagram f / 1.0 speed of 1 second.
Evaluative / Matrix: Lighting measurements based on specific segments and percentages.
Eye piece Blind: Curtain cover cover.
Exposure: The result of arranging the infrared and shutter speed openings that determine the illumination of the object.
Exposure Compensation: Exposure Compensation; Making alternative lighting from normal to more or less.
Exposure Mode: Exposure mode; Generally there are 4 types of manual, aperature priority, shutter priority and auto.
F
FID: Film strip Identification number.
Fill in Flash: Blitz filler; In the condition of not needing a flash, it stays on to illuminate the dark, like a shadow.
Filter: made of an optical system mounted on the front of the lens.
Fish Eye: A lens with a wide angle of size 16mm down (the resulting image will look curved).
Focusing Screen: Focus screen.
Flash Sync: Flash sync; Maximum speed for body and flash to work harmoniously.
G
Golden Section: The law of composition which says that alignment will be achieved when a field is the union of two related fields.
GN: Guide number; The power of the flash light, is the multiplication of distance (in meters or feet) and in diagras.
L
Lens Mount: Lens holder.
Lens Hood: Lens hood.
M
Main Light: Light filler / extras
MF: Manual focus.
Monopod: One foot stand for the camera.
Multispot: Measurement of light from several points.
N
Noise: Irregular spots. Usually because of the use of senor a high-set digital camera.
O
Over Exposure: Shoot with excessive light that gives effect too bright.
P
Panning: Technique of shooting with the impression of motion.
Pull and Push: Push is an increase in film sensitivity in shooting. Examples of ISO 100-200 / more; Pull is the opposite, that is the decrease of film sensitivity.
R
Red Eye: The effect of red dots on the eyes of an object due to the reflection of a flash lamp.
Red eye reduction: a facility to reduce the usual red-eye effect on shooting using a flash at night.
Reverse Ring: Used to install the reversed lens; Create an alternative macro lens so that the incoming light does not leak.
S
Second curtain Sync: Facilities to turn on flash just before shutter closes.
Shutter: Rana
Shutter Speed: Setting the speed of the camera's 'window' cap in capturing incoming light.
Silhouette: a lighting technique for displaying object shapes without displaying details.
SLR: Single Lens Reflect; Single lens camera that uses mirrors and prisms.
Super wide: Lens with very short vocal length, so the captured image has a very wide viewing angle (vocal length less than 20mm).
T
TLR: Twin Lens Reflect; A camera that uses two lenses. One to see, another to pass the light on to the movie.
Tripod: 3 foot stand for camera.
TTL: Through The Lens; Light measurement system through lens
V
Vertical Grip: Shutter tool for vertical retrieval without having to rotate the hand.
Vignette: Dark circles around the photo. Generally occurs when using a wide-angle lens.
W
Wide lens: Wide lens, has short burning distance, shorter than 50mm.
Wireless TTL: TTL wireless measurement system.
It would be a shame if you did not study those terms which would certainly make you easier. Do not always with complicated terms, start with the easy and basic.
