Ingredients of Kesari Jalebi
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup yogurt
Oil or ghee
Gusset cloth
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1/2 tsp saffron
The method of making Kesari Jalebi
- First of all, prepare a thick batter by mixing all purpose flour and curd together.
- If needed, you can also add water to it.
- Keep yeast rise in it for about six to seven hours.
- Once the batter becomes puffy and starts appearing chug, prepare syrup.
- Make syrup on a low flame by mixing water, sugar and saffron.
- Thick the Chashni for the time left on high heat.
- When the Chashni starts leaving the wire, take it off the flame and cool it down lightly.
- Take Take a deep pan. Add oil or ghee to it and heat it.
- Insert the prepared batter into the bag. The smaller the hole, the thinner the jalebi will create.
- Now pour the batter in hot oil. Cook on medium heat. Flip over.
- When the jalebis turn light brown on both sides, take them out. Add to the syrup.
- Let them soak in Chashni for about a minute. Remove and serve.
