Hello steemitians!
Hope you all are well and happy!
In our Country, Durga Puja festival has been started and everybody is going mad about it! It's our best annual festival, just like Christmas in USA!
Devi Durga maa is the Warrior Goddess of our mythology. In our religion, she is a popular goddess combating demonic forces and evils that threaten peace and prosperity.
Every year, Millions of people attend this festival by roaming around in the city and by visiting different pandels. The pandels are temorary structures of artistic buildings where the statues of our Devi maa resides. Every single pandel is a piece of unique art, as skillful artists from around the country come and design them. Even tourists from all over the world, who know about the festival come in this season and enjoy the celebrartion with us. The above picture shows our group selfie along with hundreds of people that are standing in a queue to visit a pandel.
The above pandel and the whole interior design is made of Jute sticks. It is high as a 2 storied building. LED Lights are being used for the light decoration. When we visited it yesteday, thousands of people were slready in the queue line, but the Police and Puja committee members were very active to handel the pressure, so we didn't have to wait a long to visit inside!
The interior design of the pandel was absolutely stunning! Thousands of colour coated jute sticks were hanging from the ceiling and they were looking amazing. Also, the light works were fabulus too that have addad an extra jewel to the crown.
This is a picture of the Goddess and other Gods when we were entering the building. Photography was strictly prohibited in there. But while entering, I did manage to take a quick shot 😉 . The police said it will be an uncontrollable situation if thousands of people stopped there and started clicking pictures and selfies, as there were more than 2 thousands people in the queue line. It is their duty to control the whole situation and it is ours to assist them by obeying the rules.
I captured this beautiful flower photo at the entrance of an another pandel. The flower was made of plastic and paper sheets and LED lights were being used for the amazing and transparent glow. The Devi maa's picture that you see at the top of this post is where it was taken. We actually had visit a couple of pandels yesterday and will again visit other pandels today and upcoming days. It's a 6 day festival started from yestarday and will go on till Friday. So I will visit more pandels here and there in the city and will make more attractive posts on this. Stay with me friends and enjoy the biggest celebration of India!
