Clitocybe nebularis - Hat diameter 50 to 150 mm, sometimes larger. Steel gray to gray-brown color, darker towards the center. During wet weather dark gray to gray-brown, in dry weather light-grayish-gray or whitish-gray-brown. Initially convex shape, with an umbo, later flattened, finally concave. Matte surface, glabrous or slightly frosted. The shore rolled up, with age wavy and bent.
Lamellas 3 to 7 mm wide. Initially whitish, later ocracoceros, finally yellowish, dense, easily separable from the pulp of the hat. Adnate to the stipe or somewhat deviating.
The stem is 60 to 100 mm long and 15 to 30 mm thick. Cylindrical, sometimes at the bottom thickened, meaty, strong, young full, later wadded, long-fibred, at the base often white-felted. In the color whitish, grayish or pale brown, lighter than the hat. Surface longitudinally cracked into fine, protruding filaments.
The flesh is whitish, unchanging, with a strong acidic, sweetish, slightly rancid aroma, slightly acidic, and even bitter taste.
Occurrence: In deciduous and coniferous forests, various thickets. It grows in large groups, ranks, or black circles, common. It grows from September to late autumn.
Value: Edible mushroom after cooking, without it can cause gastric disturbances. Not everyone tolerates its strong specific taste
