I went down to Myllysaari this morning to see if I could get any good photos. But the battery died and I also lost my lens cap on the Nikkor 18-55 mm. Oh, well. Just bought a new one from Kärkkäinen for about €6. Some people say you don't need a lens cap because lenses are pretty hard. I'm of the opinion that you can always trip over something and have your camera land on something glass first. You could get a branch hit hard on the glass or anything like that. The glass gets dirty more easily if you never use a lens cap. Or something hard could hit your camera bag just the wrong way.
