Wolves are one of the most intriguing dogs and the African wild dog is one of the most amazing wolves found in Africa. In South Africa alone, there are around 400 specimens occur in the country's Kruger National Park and in the Luangwa Valley.
They are defined as mostly endangered and there many organizations that prevent these incredible creatures from extinction.
Being 30 inches tall and running at a speed approximately more than 44 miles per hour comes easy when catching their prey being the carnivores they are mostly eating the Thomson gazelle, impala, reedbuck, kob, lechwe and springbok. They also have zebras, wildebeest, warthog, oribi, duiker, waterbuck, bushbuck, ostrich, African buffalo, hares and cane rats to their daily diet.
