Pineapple is a very famous fruit in Bangladesh. It is a seasonal fruits. Generally its come in the market at rainy season in a year (July- August). This fruit availble In this time every where of Bangladesh. But every place is not suitable for production. Basically madhupur and hilly region is famous for prodution pineapples.
Statistics says that approximately 70% pineapple be cultivated in Madhupur. That's why the authority of Madhupur region make a statue of pineapple for there name and fame for this fruit.
Madhupur is a upazila of Tangail zilla. Jolsatra is big wholesale market for pineapple which situated in madhupur upazilla.
Every Tuesdy and Friday farmer harvest pineapple and come to market to sell their fruit. And this fruit spread out all over the country from this place.
