Singapore has always been a hot topic to the Chinese because prior to the incredible Chinese economic boom, it was Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong leading the way in terms of economic development in Asia. They were loosely called the Four Asian Tigers because of their faster than average economic growth compared to the rest of the Asian countries.
From my circle of friends, I was already aware of the hugely impressive Marina Bay Sands hotel which stood out for it's infinity edge pool supported by the three towers of the hotel. This is something I always wanted to experience but the cost is always a consideration. I wanted to try my hand at something more modest without sacrificing too much luxury, and thus the Pan Pacific Hotel of Singapore was the natural choice.
For many, this hotel is the ideal hotel for a weekend vacation. It is a luxury five star hotel that is reasonably priced, and in a very central location. You also get to earn loyalty points making your stays progressively cheaper if you decide to return.
When you walk inside your room, you get a feeling that this hotel is very well catered for business trips. The room design is classic and completely differs from the ultra modern (but toilet looking) architectural style of the exterior. It has a separate living room area with a sizely TV as well as comfortable sofas and a terrific view. It's perfectly for catching the early news on TV over a coffee.
