These little blue flowers are very pretty. They seem to be very hearty, growing through rocks. I've recently learned they are called Oysterleaf, and are also known as sea buebells. Their scientific name is Mertensia maritima.
It was neat to see these while walking on the beach! Apparently, the leaves taste like oyster. So I'm guessing they're edible, since this information is available online.
