Yellowstone Bison or Buffalo

If you will ever will visit Yellowstone National Park you will see certainly bisons, in fact, Yellowstone has the most important bison herd in the United States with more that 5000 of them. They are usually quite and peaceful animals but they can be dangerous if provoked. Males can reach a weight of 2,000 lbs (900 kg). Harassing bisons is a crime and you can get arrested as it happened to this man in August 2018.
In US, “bison” and “buffalo” refer to the American bison (Bison bison)

Se mai visiterai il parco di Yellowstone in Wyoming, ti capiterà sicuramente di vedere bisonti, dal momento che questo parco è il luogo con più bisonti in tutti gli Stati Uniti con oltre 5000 esemplari. I bisonti sono generalmente animali pacifici ma possono essere pericolosi se provocati. I maschi possono arrivare a pesare fino a 900kg. Provocare o infastidire i bisonti è reato e si può venire arrestati come è capitato a questo signore nel mese di Agosto 2018. Il USA, sia il termine "bisonte" che "buffalo" si riferisce allo stesso animale: American bison (Bison bison).
