Glad you came by.
As a landscape and street photographer I had and have the privilige to go to places no one else can go. To move around in extreme environments and hostile areas and stay safe, protected by my camera and lense. Through them I have the needed distance to get the essence of every subject I photograph. With this series I share photographs of my travels, may they be beautiful landscapes, grungy streets or reclusive animals in the african bushveld.
So here we go, a picture every day. Starting with this one.
I caught this young absent woman off guard on the main road to Wyneberg, a place that connects townships to white suburbs whilst keeping a connection to industrial areas. You can see it as a bridge to jump inbetween the two class system that reigns in South Africa. Through her elegant clothes this woman stands out in a fascinating way that sets her apart from the busy and crowded street.
