Drivinging south on US 441 near Gainesville Florida, earlier this week. We have had very few days without rain for several months.
Many farmers and gardeners have ruined crops. I have yet to see first cuttings of hay. The watermelons are delicious, as are the cantaloupes.
Deer and smaller wildlife are forced into high open fields or any place they can get out of the water. Often along the sides of the road I see them looking bewildered.
These photographs were taken as we drove over Paines Prarie it was so beautiful searching the waters for gators, and watching the storms blow towards us. We didn’t stop to get out so the pictures are a little blurry.
