The light was fading. The sound of thousands of birds leaving their roost broke the deafening silence. Ibis flooded my viewfinder. As I tracked a flock I felt the warmth of the sunset and captured a frame. Motion was frozen and what I saw became an artwork.

Photographing birds is one of my favourite pastimes. The sense of being outdoors, witnessing nature take its course is freeing in so many ways.
