Climb to the Chapel of the "Devil"

Hello to the whole community, today I arrive with a new delivery, this time it is a walk to the Chapel of the "Devil", which has always intrigued all residents of the City of San Cristobal, Venezuela. In the following exploration that I did with a group of Professors and Architects, I was motivated to make a series of measurements of the Chapel since the place is wanted to be rescued by its construction and the history that this mysterious place contains, that is why the trip it was carried out with the purpose of obtaining data so later to make other studies so that this Chapel enters the category of State Patrimony.

Next I will leave some data, videos and photographs that I made of the walk and the legend that exists about that place, a famous writer made a long time ago a book that was called Legends of Táchira, it relates all the phenomena that have occurred in the whole State and , on the chapel.

Chapel of the "Devil" is located at 1,006 masl, Latitude: 7º 7 "30", Longitude: 72º 22 "32", the entrance to the Chapel is through the bridge La Chucurí between the Barrio Marco Tulio and Romulo Colmenares, the distance until the Chapel is 2.4 KM approximately, you must also go through an old Royal road. According to Architect Jhonny, it is a construction that dates approximately from 1912 and was a tribute to the Virgen del Carmen, built according to Ángel Sánchez. Legend has it that a child grazed the cows and one day a man had told him to be careful with the Chapel that frightened them there, due to curiosity, the child entered the Chapel and disappeared, tell the stories that are heard in the early hours the cry of a child.

There are other oradities, that the owner of the farm to make a pact with the "Devil" ordered to build the Chapel to protect themselves from the evil entity, but they say that one day the family was gathered near the Chapel since their house was near the same construction, and mysteriously disappeared without a trace, and is the reason that they call it the Chapel of the "Devil", it is currently abandoned and deteriorated, since many people have visited it and have done acts of vandalism.
