This story occurred on Kunashir, the southernmost of the Kuril Islands. We worked there together with the nature reserve Kurilsky. Our main goal was to photograph marine animals, in particular marine mammals.
After spending more than a week next to the rookery of the seals, we returned back. Due to the weather conditions our route has changed. Together with all the equipment for underwater shooting, we were at Cape Stolbchaty.
It is a rocky exit that goes deep into the sea. It is one of the most famous tourist on the Kuril Islands. However, most people see it only from the top - the ground part. We also managed to look under the water.
Today I will confine myself to a few photos. I would like to separately tell and show the underwater part of this place.
