Favorite method is to take the most beautiful position on the coral and wait. Look at me. But here it is necessary to set the camera and in the twinkling of an eye the hawkfish will be in the opposite side of the coral.

I shot them in Egypt, Indonesia, the Philippines and even in Fiji. The range of its habitat is very wide. But everywhere it is quite rare. You can find a few pieces, but not more. Other types of hawkfish are much more common. But they also look simpler. Not so refined and amusing.
The last two photographs are just another species. Agree, too, cute. But all the same with a nose is better. Unlike their long-nosed relatives. These prefer not fan corals and sponges. However, they are very similar in behavior. They like to move quickly from one part of the sponge to the other. And watch you from a distance.
