If you are wondering which European city to visit, do not hesitate and go to Brussels, Belgium.
But before I introduce you to my great experience, let me tell you a little about this European city.
Brussels (Bruxelles - Fr., Brüssel - Flemish) - is the capital of Belgium and the heart of the European Union. With its artistic craftsmanship, exquisite architecture, the cuisine with a variety of traditional dishes and cultural diversity, Brussels is a real jewel of northern culture at its best. What makes Brussels special? Seafood specialties in all restaurants, aromas of hot waffles during the cold winter day, cafes and pubs that never close, huge but welcoming parks, practically reaching to the doorstep of your home, pheasants and truffles in autumn, funny stripes, designer shops....
It is often said about Brussels that it is an amazing place where the last millennium and modern Europe meet. Until recently, many locals were skeptical of foreign diplomats and politicians who arrived. And now they are proud that their city is internationally renowned.
And here's a little story:
According to the legend, Brussels was born around a small chapel built by the priest St. Gorik in the 6th century. In 979, however, the first fortress was built and this is the moment that is considered the beginning of the city. Then the settlement grew and became the center of commerce. By the 12th century, the population reached 30,000 people, and the city became famous for its crafts. The surrounding swamps are drained and the long 17.5-mile Willebroek channel is built in their place.
Many international rulers have left their mark on the city, such as the Habsburg house. French King Louis XIV destroyed most of the city during the attack in 1695. After Napoleon's wars, the idea of independence spread throughout Belgium. In 1831, Leopold I was crowned king, and Brussels was declared capital. The city is officially bilingual - with French and Dutch, home to the institutions of both the European Union and NATO. The village is an amazing mixture of history, on the one hand, with its small streets and cozy cafes, and modern Europe on the other, with offices of the European Union and tens of thousands of employees.

This is one of the most wonderful cities for a walk. Vehicle charges are very high and there are almost no cars. Everything is unique to be able to go by bike, of course.
Two of the biggest attractions are:
royal Palace
And the main square with the most distinctive building.
And of course not to forget the pissing boy, which is the symbol of the city.
And do not forget, this city is very interesting and spend at least 4 days for its full tour and definitely take your camera.
