We're camping by the beach for Christmas and just earlier this afternoon we decided to take our young mare Nayyerah to the surf for the first time. She did so well, taking the radically new experience in her stride.
She was unsure of the water as it rolled up towards her but as she realized that it's just cool splashy fun wet stuff, she started to get used to it. Horses are great learners and adapt to new experiences much quicker than we do. Check her out! Rememebr this is her first experiences with moving sea water...
Here are a few quick videos of us walking back to the camp site from the beach. I loved the lighting and how the sun rays shine through the sand.
