Lake Saiful Muluk.. Legends surrounding this lake are aplenty - most popular of these tells the story of Saif, an Egyptian prince, who in his dream saw fairies dancing on this lake, except he didn't know it was this lake..!
It took him 6 year to find it and another 40 days spent in prayers/chilla to be able to see the fairies as they are fire-borne and generally not visible to human eye. The Story goes on and on but locals believe that even till today, on the 14th night of lunar moon, fairies visit this lake..!
Naran to Lake Saiful Muluk dusty jeep track is approximately 9km in lenght with hiking tracks difficulty level ranging from easy to medium. It can be traveled by jeep in one Hour. Net elevation gain is around 700m (2300 feet)
