This is one of my favorite pictures I've taken. It almost looks like a painting. It was during the Perseid meteor shower, and I was scouting locations to try and capture the meteors. The moon was rising on the horizon over Lake Superior, and a few clouds were in front of it. I was worried these clouds/haze was going to ruin the rest of my night shooting, but luckily it stayed only on the horizon. The red haze slightly blocking the moon makes it almost look like the sun rising, but it is in fact the moon (you can see stars up top)

My 2nd shot looks more like the moon and stars for anyone doubting :p

If anyone would like to use this in their post to add to their other work (say a poem, story, etc) just let me know!
