I was a bit nervous about being in Germany for the first time, but once I got here, Frankfurt immediately felt familiar. It's a typical cosmopolitan city and the culture around the transportation hub is as active as any city I've lived in, or visited in the US.
English is one of the many languages spoken here, including, of course German, Chinese, Russian and Spanish, in which I was hit up for a street donation. I was fascinated by the pawn shops with all the weapons in the window. It's one of the best ways to size up an area.
The Cherry Blossoms were blooming. At the end of the commercial streets (away from the station) there's a nice park. I didn't find any place to workout... yet.
At the end of the day, the women who beg on the streets, "Gypsy" might be un-PC in this era, all get together... I think it's an organization... They are quite clever. I learned immediately, "Se helfen" a question, or a demand?
