Let them come to you

I don't know if these critters are really curious; it's all too easy to anthropomorphise animals.

Still, I know that when you sit still long enough in the local peatbog, insects and other animals will how up to check you out. Here's three of them:

For those who like to know such things: they are:

• [No English name found], (Carabus clathratus), getraliede schallebijter in Dutch;
• green frog (Pelophylax spec.), groene kikker in Dutch;
• raft spider (Dolomedes fimbriatus), gerande oeverspin in Dutch.

That last one can walk and run on water; think about that the next time you go for a swim in open water.
