The broad-bodied chasers are out in force; they seem to be everywhere, mostly sitting and waiting for food to fly their way:

This female was flying about to find good spots for depositing her eggs:

The males are supposed to fly overhead to guard the females as they deposit eggs, but it was a very hot day, so I don't blame him for sitting down while the missus did all the work. It is the way of nature.
