Visiting Particle XL at his Studio

It's been a while since I last wrote something in German and also published a photo posting. Not that there are rumours that I can't speak German anymore.

I had finally visited my old buddy from my childhood, who now calls himself Particle XL, after sooo long time in his studio. He's had the studio a bit longer but we never got there. And when we were there, we also tried to record a lot. Of course just 4 fun, so nothing serious. He himself does a lot of commissioned work for big names, but at the same time he also tries to do his own spacey thing.

He showed us that he really has what it takes, when he made a really damn chilly oldschool style HipHop beat within 20 minutes. Even with simple programs for amateurs it takes at least a few hours. It was possible with this dancing bear device, which you can see on the first photo. Musicians among you will surely know it. An ingenious piece!

I won't link you to the beat, he didn't want it, but instead I'm now doing a little advertising for Particle Xl, and if there is someone who has a problem with that, he can put it on his wish list for Santa Claus. To all others, enjoy it !

Es ist schon etwas her, dass ich das letzte mal etwas auf Deutsch geschrieben und auch ein Foto-Posting veröffentlicht habe. Nicht dass sich Gerüchte bilden, dass ich kein Deutsch mehr könne.

Ich hatte meinen alten Kumpel aus meiner Kindheit, der sich mittlerweile Particle XL nennt, endlich, nach sooo langer Zeit in seinem Studio besucht. Er hat das Studio schon etwas länger aber zeitlich kamen wir nie dazu. Und als wir da waren, haben wir auch direkt versucht auch einiges zu recorden. Natürlich nur just 4 fun, also nichts ernstes. Er selber macht viel Auftragsarbeit für große Namen, aber nebenher versucht er auch sein eigenes abgespacetes ding durch zu ziehen.

Dass er es wirklich drauf hat, hat er uns gezigt, als er innerhalb von knapp 20min einen wirklich verdammt chilligen oldschool style Hiphop-Beat gebastelt hat. Selbst mit einfachen Programmen für Amateure braucht man minimum ein paar Stunden dafür. Möglich war das mit diesem Tanzbär-Gerät, was ihr auf dem ersten Foto sehen könnt. Musiker unter euch werden es sicherlich kennen. Ein geniales Teil!

Den Beat werde ich euch nicht verlinken - das wollte er nicht, aber stattdessen mache ich jetzt mal ein wenig Werbung für Particle Xl, und wer etwas dagegen hat, der kann es auf seine Wunschliste für den Weihnachtsmann setzen. An alle anderen, viel Spass mit der Musik !
