Isn't it picturesque? Those clouds are scene-stealer!
The Lapasan Boulevard, Coastal Road opened last year around November. Before it became what it is today, it was once a very peaceful place where my cousins and I frequent to to soak up some sun. It's not clean water, mind you, but being kids that we were, we didn't mind catching small crabs and fishes whenever we visit the sea.
Even in my Mom's time, they used to go there to swim. They even shared disgusting stories about being surprised by feces here and there. But despite being dirty and all, the familiar place always gives me solitude and peacefulness like no other.
Two days ago, out of sheer happenstance, I found myself enjoying and marveling over the beautiful sunrise in the boulevard. People were out jogging and walking their dogs. Huge trucks and buses break the silence of the road. Usually when I am out people watching, I wonder what's on their mind. Sometimes I wanna start a conversation, but then it's morning, let them have their alone time. For sure these people are busy when the clock strikes at 09:00 am.
I have also decided to get back to walking. It is actually one of the things I love with all my heart. Sadly, my social anxiety gets in the way which prevents me from enjoying it to the fullest; but this year will be different.
This year, I have decided to take care of myself. I've always been chubby. I have friends who like it when I'm on the heavy side of the spectrum because they think I look best with all the very visible fat, but I don't want to stay this way forever. I am turning 25 in a few more days, and I guess it's time to feel pretty in this lifetime.
And also, I wanna incorporate running to my lifestyle because I know the many benefits of running. Hopefully I can run my first 5K marathon before the year ends. I am also excited for my first trekking experience this coming Sunday, so I think walking this whole week is going to help me not die in the mountains.
Please enjoy the rest of the photographs!
