When you live in the countryside in Slovenia and also here in Canada, it's a normal thing that everything is green in the summer.
There'was always the perception in my head that every city must be a gray and dirty concrete jungle full of smog.
I can tell you Edmonton is not even close to that. Well, at least at summer.
We have clean air despite the chemical industry, coal power plants, and refineries. It's a vast land and air is constantly moving.
But every evening you can fell the pleasant smell of grilled meat from BBQs.
Squirels, gophers, porcupines, coyotes, rabits, and all kind of birds are moving freely in the parks and even among houses.
So yes, we can say that Edmonton in the summer is a green city.
Even the old trolley connecting Whyte Avenue and Fort Edmonton is green.
Here you can see how close to nature we live.
These two ducklings are paddling through the algae cover of the lake.
I never saw this before but North Americans well know the purpose of this piece of sports equipment.
Green gazebo at the park near Muttart piramides.
The wasp nest by the biking trail, size of a soccer ball.
I took this shot with full zoom in on my phone.
Just in case the wasps get nervous.
All squares green except the one with the gopher.
I can you see the light at the end of the tunnel. Can you?
Markets are also green today.
Perfect timing for my today's post.
Enyoj the day and hang on my friends.
