I have so many great shots of pre-war Edmonton. One post will not be enough to properly introduce the town transferring to a city.
So let's start with the first one.
This is how the busy street back in the times looks like. Except for wardrobe of the visitors, but close enough.
Transportation was well established at the time. And they had wooden sidewalks for pedestrians. It was a funny experience.
You can actually book a room and sleep over in the hotel if you really want a real time travel.
The actor in the bank didn't want to give me the money when I showed him my debit card. And had no clue what the ATM is.
Nice little shop with an authentically dressed lady.
And the fire hall with the red beast inside. Check this out:
The church from inside.
And this street banner which could be transferred to the today's city center of Edmonton. Very actual 100 years later.
You can't find this kind of gardens in the city today. Just well-maintained lawns with green grass and dandelions, eh?
Stay tuned for part II
