If you ever visit the LACMA near DTLA you'll see one of the most fascinating installations are on the actual grounds. In 2012 an amazing 340-ton rock sculpture was planted between cement pillars. This took nearly 11 days to complete and traveled 105 miles from it's shipping container.
Being able to stand below this gigantic rock is pretty amazing and feeling this huge mass floating above you. It was incredible to see this in person up-close. The metal plates where specially engineered for seismic activity that can happen and most likely not a place you'd want to be to test the theory.
