In between the ridges of the decking planks..
.. a ferocious predator patrols the garden looking for unwary prey. More likely looking for a bit of rotting vegetation. This Earwig has never been one of my favourite insects and I do have a soft spot for our six legged friends. Ever since I was given a sharp but nonetheless harmless bite by one as a child. I also remember they would get into my clothes on the washing line and pop out inconveniently when I went to put on a fresh t-shirt pair of shorts.
