^{Hi all, I actually have some art that's mostly done, but I'd rather post some photos than rush it. All of you know I traveled back home to meet family in January. These are some of dad's photos that were retrieved while I was traveling. While I didn't take these, I have total permission :)}

Scotty's Castle, Death Valley Park

The origin of this ranch is interesting. The land was fraudulently sold as a gold mine by prospector and conman Walter E. Scott. The buyer, Chicago millionaire Albert Mussey Johnson, was infuriated at first — but then decided to build a lavish vacation home there in 1922. The desert environment was beneficial to his health.

What can we learn from this? NEVER trust ANYONE named "Scott"!
