And what a prize, as this is royalty! A "Blue Emperor" (Anax imperator)
There are 6 Dragonfly (Anisotera) families in South Africa and the one in the picture above is the real thing from a royal family!
They are large, to very large and this one is a male, as they are brighter (in color, not in mind, Lol) than the females.
Here is the big boy in real size and he is waiting for Spring season to start so that he can find a female!
He is also brand new, as his wings are still glistening! In a day or two his wings will start to turn smokey.
This guy can survive for a whole summer (3 to 4 months) and I hope to see him again soon.
