As I read of the rather large snowstorm heading my way starting sunday afternoon through monday evening, (12-18 inches predicted so far lol..) I am reminded of some photos of the begining of an intense summer thunderstorm I captured in early august.
I was happy I had the chance to watch the storm unfold and see nature in her ultimate power. The clouds swirl and darken as if to match her changing mood.
You could see the clouds quickly churning, tumbling and changing as the wind picked up whipping through the trees and tall bushes.
Soon the torrental rain would come quickly flooding the street, washing away the summer heat if only for a few minutes. These summer storms are quick to pass unlike the long winter storms soon to come.
That storm did indeed pass quickly. The sun was shining again moments after it passed completely, but ultimately made us lose power for a short time. Not such a big deal in the warm summer weather..
But not something you want to happen when you see this happening outside lol..
For all of you in the northeast stay warm and safe during the coming storm!
As always remember that it's all about the little things in life and thanks for looking in! :)
