A bee shelters from the sun inside a rose, grooming his antennae.
Then it's back to its bzzy life of beein'
A shiny green bottle fly was an irresistible target.
His less-shiny buddy was lookin good too.
This tiny little bug was sunning on a dead leaf.
A yellowjacket laying low and cleaning its antennae.
A solitary ant roams a rockscape.
Some kind of alien egg, no doubt.
The following photographs are all attempts at handheld focus stacks. Some worked better than others. :)
These roses weren't gonna let a little cold stop them from blooming.
There is still a certain geometric beauty left even in decaying flowers.
