Hi there my Steemian friends and followers!
Halloween is just around the corner and just like every year in this season, we are about to witness a rise in creepy posts in the upcoming weeks. I am coming with my first spooky post today as I recently took some pretty ghostly photos that I would like to share with you here on my blog :)
Ready for some nice shivers? There you go :)
Those giant birds with ominously glowing eyes were designed by the renowned Silesian artist Kurt Gebauer. They also rotate their heads and make weird sounds. The bird statues can be found on the top of the Bird Hill in the center of the Silesian City of Opava.
The majestic building in the background is the Minorite Monastery. One of the most important religious pieces of architecture in the city, the monastery is believed to have been found in 1234 by a Piast duke. Officially known as the Order of Friars Minor Conventual, the Minorites is a Catholic order founded in 1209 by the legendary Italian Catholic friar, deacon and preacher Francis of Assisi.
During the day, however, the place actually looks very peaceful :)
How about you guys, have also you taken any creepy photos lately? I am thinking about hosting a creepy photography contest. Would you be interested in it? Let me know in the comments below ;)
