Some of you may have seen my previous post about the portrait I did of my friend and Muay Thai fighter Lea 'The Pirate' Pedersen. She's double danish campion and double world champion in her weight class. IOW, she kicks ass. Soon to move to Thailand to pursue her passion full time, I recently shot some promo shots of her sparring in the gym of Copenhagen Muay Thai. It is rare I shoot with strobes as a documentarist, but for this occassion, we rented a top of the line ProPhoto flash unit, allowing me to shoot at ISO 80 / f/8 on my Sony a7R II, and still freeze her in the air. Sharpest shots Ive ever done! Here are some of the results:
