Leonard Lord was the head of the British Motor Corporation. The name Mini appeared in 1961, the car was produced under the brands Austin and Morris. The 997-cc engine developed power at 55 hp. The car received two carburettors, a box with a modified gear ratio and disc brakes on the front wheels. In 1964 appeared Mini Cooper S, already with a 1071-cc motor.
Mini left the car factory on August 6, 1969, but was restored in 1998 and used to participate in several rally classic cars.
