I just got back from a relaxing week in Mammoth Lakes,
CA - an awesome place. And it reminded me of back in the Pyrenees, high steep mountains, and stunning spring flowers. I travelled through Yosemite to get their and wasn't able to stop unfortunately.
I'd love to go hiking through there. Many years ago we hiked through the high mountains of the Pyrenees, from Cauterets to Gavarnie via one of the GR routes. Fantastic. It's amazing, that even at altitude, life finds a way to be beautiful.
