I note your shirt; who wouldn't want to be more humane. Virtue, empathy, and altruism, useful things when honed with logic and study. The control mongers have taken beautiful things and weaponized them through propaganda and a shallow exploration of the issues/science. We are rarely offered a deeper understanding of the connection of things.

Guns kill; but not anywhere close to what tyranny and the pursuit of tyranny does. C-19 took the elderly and vulnerable; lockdowns and improper medical treatments took far more, among them a disproportionate amount of the young. Unhealthy eating/living made people vulnerable to begin with.

Hunting kills; every hunter takes 1 to dozen lives a year; the deaths are however quick; the ecosystem maintained for hunting to continue. Animals are free/kept in a natural state. Tilling the soil(mono-cropping) takes exponentially more lives than that and depletes the soil; kills bees. Hunting and pasturing (restorative agriculture) maintains balance; increases productivity; maintains nature. The whole. Mono-cropping cannot; yet how are we told it is virtuous to eat. (Factory farming is only possible because of mono-cropping by-products.)

I don't own a gun; I'm not drawn to them. I certainly do NOT want to see any humans claimed with them. I'm a leftie and have always argued that guns have no place in a city, including in the holsters of our law enforcers. But I have to say; I'm grateful for the deterrent they are supplying in the hands of rational, empathetic libertarians, not to mention the hunters that have fed me from time to time.

Having lived through these last 2 years, I now understand why so many feel the need to have them. In short, to protect themselves from captured and law-breaking governments. Charters and Constitutions are laws. The WORSE ones to break.

The ROOT cause of Uvalde was mental illness/lack of reason and universal empathy. The gun control debate is arguing over what bandaid we are going to place over gangrene.
