Since I joined Steemit, I found out I really enjoy taking photographs. I also enjoy snorkeling, so I decided to put the two together.
I bought a Crosstour 1080P which is really a poor man's GoPro and tried it out today.
I live in South Florida so there are a couple of dive opportunities close to shore. So after work today I headed out to the beach with my new toy.
The camera comes with a video mode but I only used camera mode today.
The first picture is of a juvenile French Angel fish. They are pretty common in southern waters and our favorites for salt water aquarium enthusiasts.
Sting Ray, unfortunately the same type that killed Steve Irwin, the crocodile hunter.
Stingrays generally do not attack. Usually they swim away. However, when stepped on, the stinger on the tale is whipped up. Fatal stings are very rare but obviously can happen.
French Angel with some Hi-hats.
Algae floating by while we were diving. Many small creatures take shelter in the algae.
I hope to get use to this camera and post more photos of one of my passions.
Never go diving without a dive flag.
