Canada Snow Geese on "Lift Off"

This shot was taken in the city of Richmond just south of the Vancouver International Airport. Here we see part of a flock of approximately 5,000 Canada Snow Geese on lift off. I have watched and photographed these amazing birds for the past nine years. I have never seen a collision between two birds even with more than 10,000 of them flying in close proximity.
Just imagine 10,000 drones flying overhead inches apart or the upcoming self-drivng cars with not a single collision ever.....! That is what we have every day in nature with no control towers or infrastructure to keep everything in sync. Totally awesome when you think about it....!
