Adventures in the Astrovan
I’m parked in Naples on Naples Plaza in front of the Lutheran Church. I grew up a block away from here. I actually went and took surf shots today. The first time in over 6 months. It was howling offshore wind. Super low humidity and a fire broke out somewhere inland. There was so much smoke and flying sand and dirt. It hasn’t really rained in a very long time so every bit of dirt was just carried up and out over the water.
I put the camera on high speed auto as you do when you shoot surf. I took over 2500 shots.
Started going through them and just couldn’t take it. Too many. There wasn’t very many guys out so I have endless wave sequences. They make me crazy. Trying to pick one good one? Oh yes, it’s a quality problem. The wind has calmed down. It was blowing over 30 mph for awhile.
It’s nice and quiet here.
How weird my life is now.
