The nearby Yosemite fires have filled Kings Canyon with smoke, but it's still one of the greatest sights I have ever seen.
I was a teenager the first time I drove into Kings Canyon, and it was the most amazing landscape I had ever seen. I think it equals the beauty of Yosemite Valley.
