While there might be temptation to call a drive to Terrace, BC during spring break a road trip; it would be more accurate to call it a scheduled and overdue car appointment. My car, the first ever “new” car I’ve owned, I purchased last year. It is a hybrid and it was recommended that I don’t put off maintenance appointments on it by the dealership. Since they are included, I don’t see a problem.
Of course, up here, the nearest dealership is a couple hours drive away and, this year anyway, the highway has closed A LOT due to bad weather and icy conditions. Add to that, the service department doesn’t work weekends and my Covid using all of my sick and discretionary days up and I had to reschedule to spring break. It is an overnight trip because they are scheduling me fist thing in the morning and because the mix of rain and snow today has me worried about an early morning drive.
C’est la vie.
