Imagine an Entire Country of 1.2 Billion High On Bhang (Marijuana Drink) and Partying with loud music. Thats Today, Holi The Indian Festival Of Colors.
I live in New Delhi. Here are some pics of my neighbourhood Holi Celebrations . I live in a pretty scenic place. Which is kind of unimaginable in a City these Days . I am Truly Lucky. Here is a Look at Holi in my neigborhood.
Btw - Kids are not given the marijuana drink. In local dialect the drink is called Thandai and the marijuana laced in it is called Bhang.

Hope you Like the Post. Many Believe Holi is a celebration done to help the people come out of the winter mind set. All that color forces them to take first long and elaborate bath after months of winter. Obviously its not relevant any more in the modern era with running hot water and bathrooms etc. However the Party Mindset continues.
Delhi is a great cultural centre to Visit. From Festivals like Holi and Diwali to Great Food to Great Mughal History and Architecture to the Seat of Power of the Indian Republic. Delhi captures it all.
